Gardenia by Babani c1928

Gardenia by Babani: launched in 1928.



Fragrance Composition:


So what does it smell like? It is classified as a floral fragrance for women.  
  • Top notes: cassie, neroli, French geranium
  • Middle notes: jasmine, tuberose, ylang ylang, rose, gardenia
  • Base notes: civet, musk, storax 


Bottles:









Tall, elegant perfume bottle, measures 8" tall, 3.5" wide and 2.5" deep. All panels in bottle design have been gold gilded. Label is enameled right on the bottle. Stopper is of a molded floral design, accented with gold gilding and a black patina to give it depth. 









Modernist bottle, clear glass molded pressed cubic rectangular, shaped terminal protruding three fluted embellished with gold lacquer side walls faces heightened with gold, title, with its rectangular cap two bleachers painted gold. Stands 9.5 cm. tall. c1930.  

 





Fate of the Fragrance:


Discontinued, date unknown.
